Chandos School in Highgate Birmingham has high numbers of newly arrived families. A Year 2 class from the school, worked with Melanie and animator jo Lawrence over a three month period, to develop characters, write stories, make puppets and create a series of short animated films. The whole project was documented by photographer and film-maker Hafsah Naib with the children. The finale of the project was a screening of all the children’s films at the Electric Cinema in Birmingham.
